Impulse control syndrome induced by multiple specified psychoactive substances
Impulse control transtorno induced by multiple specified psychoactive substances is characterised by persistently repeated behaviours in which there is recurrent failure to resist an impulse, drive, or urge to perform an act that is rewarding to the person, at least in the short-term, despite longer-term harm either to the individual or to others (e.g., fire setting or stealing sem apparent motive, repetitive sexual behaviour, aggressive outbursts) that develop during or soon after intoxicação com or abstinência from multiple specified psychoactive substances. The intensity or duration of the symptoms is substantially in excess of disturbances of impulse control that are characteristic of intoxicação com or abstinência from the multiple specified psychoactive substances. The amount and duration of the multiple specified psychoactive substances uso must be capable of producing disturbances of impulse control. The symptoms are not better explained by a primary mental transtorno (e.g., an Impulse control transtorno, a transtorno due to addictive behaviours), as might be the case if the impulse control disturbances preceded the onset of the uso of multiple specified psychoactive substances, if the symptoms persist for a substantial period of time after cessation of the multiple specified psychoactive substance uso or abstinência, or if there is other evidence of a pre-existing primary mental transtorno com impulse control symptoms (e.g., a history of prior episodes not associated com multiple specified psychoactive substances uso).
Impulse control disorder induced by other specified psychoactive substance
Impulse control transtorno induced by outro especificado psychoactive substance is characterised by persistently repeated behaviours in which there is recurrent failure to resist an impulse, drive, or urge to perform an act that is rewarding to the person, at least in the short-term, despite longer-term harm either to the individual or to others (e.g., fire setting or stealing sem apparent motive, repetitive sexual behaviour, aggressive outbursts) that develop during or soon after intoxicação com or abstinência from a specified psychoactive substance. The intensity or duration of the symptoms is substantially in excess of disturbances of impulse control that are characteristic of intoxicação com or abstinência from the specified psychoactive substance. The amount and duration of the specified psychoactive substance uso must be capable of producing disturbances of impulse control. The symptoms are not better explained by a primary mental transtorno (e.g., an Impulse control transtorno, a transtorno due to addictive behaviours), as might be the case if the impulse control disturbances preceded the onset of the specified psychoactive substance uso, if the symptoms persist for a substantial period of time after cessation of uso or abstinência of the specified psychoactive substance, or if there is other evidence of a pre-existing primary mental transtorno com impulse control symptoms (e.g., a history of prior episodes not associated com specified psychoactive substance uso).
Impulse control disorder induced by unknown or unspecified psychoactive substance
Impulse control transtorno induced by unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance is characterised by persistently repeated behaviours in which there is recurrent failure to resist an impulse, drive, or urge to perform an act that is rewarding to the person, at least in the short-term, despite longer-term harm either to the individual or to others (e.g., fire setting or stealing sem apparent motive, repetitive sexual behaviour, aggressive outbursts) that develop during or soon after intoxicação com or abstinência from an unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance. The symptoms are not better explained by a primary mental transtorno (e.g., an Impulse control transtorno, a transtorno due to addictive behaviours), as might be the case if the impulse control disturbances preceded the onset of the unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance uso, if the symptoms persist for a substantial period of time after cessation of uso or abstinência of the unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance, or if there is other evidence of a pre-existing primary mental transtorno com impulse control symptoms (e.g., a history of prior episodes not associated com the unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance uso).
Intermittent explosive disorder
Intermittent explosive transtorno is characterised by repeated brief episodes of verbal or physical aggression or destruction of property that represent a failure to control aggressive impulses, com the intensity of the outburst or degree of aggressiveness being grossly out of proportion to the provocation or precipitating psychosocial stressors. The symptoms are not better explained by another mental, behavioural, or neurodevelopmental transtorno and are not part of a padrão of chronic anger and irritability (e.g., in oppositional defiant transtorno). The behaviour padrão is of sufficient severity to result in significant impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational or other important areas of functioning.
Intoxication due to multiple specified psychoactive substances
intoxicação due to multiple specified psychoactive substances is a clinically significant transient condition that develops during or shortly after the consumption of multiple specified substances or medications that is characterised by disturbances in consciousness, cognition, perception, affect, behaviour, or coordination. These disturbances are caused by the known pharmacological effects of the multiple specified psychoactive substances and their intensity is closely related to the amount of the substances consumed. They are time-limited and abate as the multiple specified substances are cleared from the body.
Intoxication due to unknown or unspecified psychoactive substance
intoxicação due to unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance is a transient condition that develops during or shortly after the administration of an unknown or não especificado psychoactive substance that is characterised by disturbances in level of consciousness, cognition, perception, affect or behaviour, or other psychophysiological functions and responses. This diagnosis should be made only when there is strong evidence that an unidentified substance has been taken and the features cannot be accounted for by another transtorno or disease.
